Avon and Somerset Probation's Education, Training and Employment Team (ETE) are going from strength to strength.

Having won two national awards during the last 12 months the team are determind to continue to build on this success.

The Team have been given the Matrix Accreditation which recognises the quality standard for any service which delivers 'information, advice and guidance' as part of its work.

The first Probation National Awards held recognised ETE through awarding them 'Team of the Year' acknowledging their brokerage work with offenders.

Diane McAdam Assistant Chief Officer said "I am delighted that the ETE team have been recognised in this way not only by the National Probation Awards but also externally by the Matrix Awards this clearly illustrates their committment and dedication. I know that this success will only challenge them to go the extra mile in the coming 12 months. "

The work of the ETE team plays a crucial role in preventing re-offending as it i s nationally recognised that employment and accommodation are two of the most important factors in preventing re-offending.
